This fall maternity session at Libby Hill Park in Richmond, VA was the perfect setting to honor this new chapter.

A Classic Richmond Fall Setting

Last fall, Libby Hill Park showed off in the best way possible. The fall colors were rich and bold, wrapping the park in warm tones of gold and green. Even though it was a bit chilly and windy (as it often is up on the hill!), the sun showed up beautifully, creating a glowing light.

We made sure to take full advantage of the iconic Libby Hill overlook, featuring the historic smokestack and city views that make this location a Richmond favorite. That classic skyline backdrop paired so perfectly with the softness of a maternity session.

MIXING NATURE AND CITY VIBES

One of my favorite parts of this session was stepping off the overlook and into the surrounding neighborhood. We captured a few moments along the sidewalks nearby, leaning into a more urban, city-life feel that felt so fitting for this couple.

That blend of scenic views and everyday Richmond charm is one of the reasons Libby Hill Park is such a great location for maternity and family photos. It offers variety and character, especially for couples who love the city.
