There is no more magical a moment than the first days after the birth of your child. Those moments pass by simultaneously slow and fast. It feels like it is the new forever, caring for this tiny new human. But in a blink they change more than you can imagine. These first moments are some of the most special and worth saving.

Since your baby’s arrival will likely be unpredictable, I recommend getting your newborn session on the books 6-8 weeks prior to your due date. If your new bundle comes a little early or later than planned, I will rearrange my schedule to make sure you get those first precious moments captured! We can plan to have the session up to 8 weeks old but most choose to capture their baby in the first two weeks. Get in touch shortly after your baby arrives so we can prepare and make any necessary date changes. 

Newborn sessions take place in the comfort of your home! We spend around 1 hour capturing your new moments as a family, including all the newborn snuggles, baby with siblings and pets, mom and baby, dad and baby, and just the baby too! We can use different rooms in your home including the master bedroom, living room, and nursery! Don't worry about making your house picture perfect, I know how those early days are and will make necessary adjustments to avoid the inevitable new baby clutter.

What to wear

I always recommend you dress up! Moms may choose to wear a comfortable, flowy dressand put older siblings in their special occasion clothes! I love earthy colors that don'thave big logos or tiny stripes. Wear colors that coordinate together but the don't have tomatch. Mix solids and prints and add different textures. Most importantly, wear what you like and makes you feel your best! Upon booking you will also gain access to my styling service to make outfit selection for the whole crew a piece of cake!
